The Search House Hostel - Florianopolis

The triple room with a private entrance and soundproofing was just awesome! It made me feel like I had my own little world where I could relax and unwind. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, especially during the hot days.

Although the twin/double room with a patio was nice, I personally prefer having a balcony. But hey, that's just my personal preference!

The location was perfect, right on the beach, and the staff were great too make our stay enjoyable. The rooms weresuper clean and cozy, and the owner even took us to different surf spots every day. we highly recommend staying here for a trip to Florianopolis.

Plenty of spaces to relax, ideal beachfront location, great breakfast options. Kind staff, good WiFi, nice shower pressure. Cup reuse to minimize waste. Plenty of natural light in the dorms. Hang out before and after check-in without charge. Comfy private rooms with lovely yoga classes. Well-equipped and clean kitchen. Gorgeous rooms, clean and nice bathrooms. Nice pool and outdoor seating area. Close to supermarket and shops. Various trips organized, including a hike to secluded beach.

The Search House was excellent value for money, the room was comfortable and the location was perfect.

Hotel breakfast could be improved with more variety and options.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with a beautiful beach right in the backyard and close proximity to surf spots. the rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. One reviewer even mentioned that the beds are comfortable and the showers are good. the hotel offers activities like surfing, hiking, yoga, and skate, making it a great choice for sports enthusiasts.

The dorm bathroom was not cleaned daily.

Great location, right on the beachfront. It was amazing to be able to step out of the hostel and be just a few steps away from the beach. the facilities were impressive. the hostel had a spacious kitchen and common areas, which were perfect for hanging out and meeting other guests. - the staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke English, which made communication much easier.

The dorm bathroom wasn't cleaned regularly, which was quite disappointing. It would have been nice to have a clean and tidy bathroom every day.

I stayed at The Search House for over a month and it was perfect for solo travelers like me. The place is amazing, with a clean pool, ping-pong table, and even a skate ramp! The beautiful beach of Barra is right in front, just a step away from the hostel. The accommodation facilities are great, with plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and the bar serves delicious food at good prices. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, making you feel like part of the family. There are also great events and activities, perfect for meeting people from all over the world. If you're into sports, there's plenty to do like surfing, hiking, yoga, and capoeira. I enjoyed everything about my stay, and it truly felt like a home away from home.

We absolutely loved our stay at the hostel by the beach! The location was perfect for exploring the area and the friendly atmosphere made it feel like home. We made great friends during our time here and the layout of the hostel was fantastic with a spacious kitchen and lounge area. I had a great Easter getaway at this hostel! the rooms and amenities were well-maintained and clean. the location was fantastic, just steps away from the beach and a short walk to a local supermarket. the hostel had a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, with plenty of areas to relax and socialize. the bar/restaurant served delicious food, and the pool was a refreshing bonus on hot days.

The lack of dedicated workspace for those needing to work remotely. Although there were various areas available, it was often challenging to concentrate with the music playing and people enjoying themselves nearby.

More like a home than a hostel, friendly staff, beach on the back door, swim up bar, awesome breakfast, clean rooms.

That the dorm bathroom wasn't cleaned daily and the blankets on the beds were a bit thin and uncomfortable. , there were a few instances where staff members walked into the female room without knocking, which was inconvenient and uncomfortable.
